RECYCLED MATERIALNICKEL
Mar-M 247
Mar-M 247 is a cast nickel-base superalloy strengthened by a high volume fraction of gamma-prime precipitates and by solid-solution additions of tungsten, tantalum and cobalt, with hafnium added to improve grain-boundary ductility and castability. It is produced as equiaxed and directionally solidified investment castings for service at metal temperatures up to approximately 1,000°C (1,830°F), combining high creep-rupture strength with good oxidation resistance. Typical applications are gas turbine blades, vanes and integrally cast turbine wheels, as well as turbocharger turbine wheels. DASM supplies Mar-M 247 revert as sorted, analyzed, cut and shot-blasted melting feedstock, allowing melters to recover its nickel, cobalt, tungsten, tantalum and hafnium content.
