RECYCLED MATERIALNICKEL
Inconel 939 (IN-939)
Inconel 939 (IN-939) is a cast nickel-chromium-cobalt superalloy strengthened by gamma-prime precipitates of titanium and aluminum and by additions of tungsten, tantalum and niobium. Its high chromium content (about 22.5%) gives excellent resistance to hot corrosion and oxidation, and it combines good creep-rupture strength for long-term service up to approximately 850°C with better weldability than most gamma-prime strengthened cast alloys. It is used for investment-cast vanes and other hot-section components in land-based and marine gas turbines, and increasingly as a powder for additive manufacturing. DASM supplies IN-939 revert as sorted, analyzed, cut and shot-blasted melting feedstock, allowing melters to recover its nickel, cobalt, chromium, tungsten and tantalum content.
