RECYCLED MATERIALNICKEL

Incoloy 825 (Alloy 825)

Incoloy 825 (Alloy 825, UNS N08825) is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy containing 38-46% nickel and 19.5-23.5% chromium, with additions of molybdenum, copper and titanium, designed for corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing environments. Molybdenum and copper give it outstanding resistance to sulfuric and phosphoric acids and good resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, its high nickel content provides resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking, and titanium stabilizes it against sensitization and intergranular corrosion. It is primarily a corrosion-resistant alloy and is generally used at service temperatures up to approximately 540°C (1,000°F). Typical applications include sulfuric acid piping, vessels and pickling equipment, phosphoric acid evaporators, oil and gas well tubing and process piping, and chemical process equipment. DASM supplies Incoloy 825 as vacuum-melt quality (VQ) feedstock: every piece is sorted and analyzed to ASTM chemistry, cut to size and shot-blasted on all surfaces for direct furnace charging.
