RECYCLED MATERIALNICKEL
Incoloy 800 (Alloy 800)
Incoloy 800 (Alloy 800, UNS N08800) is an iron-nickel-chromium alloy containing 30-35% nickel and 19-23% chromium with a balance of iron, designed for strength and resistance to oxidation and carburization at high temperatures. Its high nickel content also provides resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking. It is used for service up to approximately 816°C (1,500°F); above this temperature, where creep and rupture strength govern, the higher-carbon, coarse-grained Incoloy 800H and 800HT are used. Typical applications include chemical and petrochemical heat exchangers and piping, nuclear steam-generator tubing, furnace components and heat-treating fixtures, and sheathing for electric heating elements. DASM supplies Incoloy 800 as vacuum-melt quality (VQ) feedstock: every piece is sorted and analyzed to ASTM chemistry, cut to size and shot-blasted on all surfaces for direct furnace charging.
